Axiall (Atlanta) says lower electrochemical unit values and higher ethylene costs cut into third-quarter volume gains. Net income totaled $44.5 million, up 6% year-on-year (YOY) from $39.0 million. Weak chlor-alkali demand continues to take a toll on Olin’s quarterly results, but the company expects improvement in the fourth quarter.
