OxyChem, the chemical segment of Occidental Petroleum, has reported pre-tax earnings for the third quarter of $140 million, down 23% year-on-year from $181 million. Boardwalk Pipeline Partners has shut down the Evangeline ethylene pipeline to repair a leak discovered on 10 October. The leak, which the company describes as a “small pin-hole,” was found in a rural area in Cameron Parish, LA.
