Dow Chemical has signed a long-term agreement under which its Freeport, TX, manufacturing facility will receive 200 MW/year of electricity from a wind farm located in south Texas. The 35,000-acre wind farm is being developed by a subsidiary of Bordas Wind Energy, which plans to bring it online in the first quarter of 2016.
