Syngas Energy Holdings (Houston) plans to build a $360-million, 500,000-m.t./year methanol plant in St. James Parish, LA, according to a press release issued by Louisiana Economic Development (LED). Assuming permits are granted, Syngas Energy expects to begin construction in the second quarter of 2016, with start up to come at the end of 2018.
