During the week ended 14 November, chemical railcar traffic in North America decreased 1.2% year-over-year (YOY) on declines in Canada and Mexico. For all of North America, chemical railcar traffic during the week totaled 41,028 carloads, down 3.3% from the previous week, according to data released on 18 November by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). For the year to date, chemical railcar traffic in North America is up 0.1%, versus a 4.7% decrease in all railcar traffic, according to the AAR.
