Two workers were injured on 7 July by a fire at Chevron Phillips Chemical’s (CPChem; The Woodlands, TX) Port Arthur, TX, facility. CPChem says the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The company has not said what part of the facility has been affected, but sources in the market believe it is the 853,000-m.t./year ethylene plant, which could be out of commission for up to two weeks....
