Koppers International (Pittsburgh; Koppers) says its majority-owned jv Koppers Jiangsu Carbon Chemical Co. (KJCC; Jiangsu, China) has restructured a soft-pitch supply agreement with C-Chem Jiangsu Needle Coke Co. (CJNC; Jiangsu, China) for a one-time payment of $30 million. CJNC’s facility have not begun operations as planned, and KJCC has had to sell its product into “a challenging domestic market” since July 2014, Koppers explains....
